Organisations who have earned this certificate have shown they have an accurate understanding of their carbon, including scope 3. This puts them on a different footing to the majority of organisations, where in general scope 3 carbon is little understood and minimally measured.

Following a full GreenInsight Carbon Analysis, this organisations now has a thorough understanding of their carbon. This is accomplished through a detailed understanding of all the goods and services they purchase. This includes a level one carbon footprint for all identified goods and services, which then build into a department-by-department and organisational view, ready to be actioned on.

They also have access tools such as the supplier pareto and interactive carbon reduction planner to accelerate their journey to net zero. The detailed departmental views allows them to start the process of setting carbon budgets.

Organisations who have earned this accreditation have demonstrated their commitment to reducing carbon through the creation of a Carbon Reduction Plan, making full use of the data gained during their GreenInsight Carbon Analysis.

Having identified their available Carbon Hotspots they are now taking steps to gain their first rapid reductions in order to become leaner and greener, by targeting issues such as unnecessary supply order or service providers.

Simultaneously they are working on longer terms carbon reduction strategies, such as reviewing internal processes and working with their suppliers on their own carbon reduction.
